I had also tried deleting all accounts and setting them up again but the problem still persists.

and then power it up again. In the Ovi market you can download an app, which can do reboot and power off. if you like to use that.

just shutdown your phone by pressing power button
I tried deleting all accounts and the switched off and then on but when I set-up twitter and facebook and did the reboot, the problem was still there.
