had a old version of khweeter installed previously using a workaround method.
can confirm $HOME/.config/Khertan Software" exists have renamed said file

If it now works, I'd very much like to see your old config. If so, can you please paste it (please blank out the token_key and token_secret variables in the accounts section!).

i'd reflashed since old khweeteur install so config file was from version 7.
purged khweetuer and installed again via terminal same error again icon showing in menu but will not start.
ran usr/bin/khweeteur and got this
/home/user # /usr/bin/khweeteur
Segmentation fault
/home/user #

It may be that Khweeteur doesn't load that far.

purged again and installed through terminal

ok it's now running but it's taking ages to bring up the tweets.

tweets updated after closing program and restarting.

not letting me reply yet.

On the one hand, it is great that it is now working for you. On the other, it is a bit unfortunate that we didn't figure out the problem (although I suspect that you were still running the old version, in particular as you didn't have any logs).

Regarding "taking ages:" if you are interested in helping track down the problem (your description is a bit abstract), you could profile the code as described here:

cheers neal will look at that. i've restarted device and khweeteur and still no joy i've attached the log file if it helps at all
