Can anyone teach me how to get this hildon-libs0 into my device? Quite a number of my applications can not be installed because of the missing this lib file.

It's due to the Gtk break between OS2007 and OS2008. You need to make sure all of your repositories are for Chinook (OS2008/maemo 4.0) and not Bora (OS2007/maemo 3.0). There's a list of Chinook repositories available from gronmayer.

I'm having real problems with this, could someone please tell me how to easily delete all repositories and reinstall from that site.

Open the application manager, click on the menu, tools, application catalogue, click on a repository, click delete, repeat.

To add them, go to the General's gronmayer link above and click on 'em.
