libxau0 isn't in maemo repository (for Chinook): http://repository.maemo.org/pool/chi...e/libx/libxau/
Should be fixed now!

Timothy: you probably redefined the keyboard shortcut by mistake. See in the Tools menu, Addressbook probably has F6 as shortcut. Try to unset it by pressing Backspace, if it is possible to show the virtual keyboard when a menu is opened... If it is not, quit Claws Mail, open an xterm, edit ~/.claws-mail/menurc, search for "Address book", and replace "F6" with "".

I'm confused -- libetpan needs SASL libraries to do CRAM-MD5, and SASL libraries are simply not available on Maemo. It never could have worked.

DIGEST-MD5 works as expected, so I can temporarily and with a more theoretical than practical security impact work around it, as far as my own server is concerned, by disabling CRAM - but I doubt that my employer and T-Online will be as forthcoming.

I don't see either how DIGEST-MD5 could work. It's not implemented.

It doesn't - on a server that offers DIGEST only it falls back to PLAIN.

Can't check against the old version any more - maybe it did not consider itself CRAM capable and fell back to DIGEST, while the new version erroneously feels it should do CRAM. But it should not fail silently over that...

Hi,

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but my question refers to the newer version (i.e. 3.2.0).

The LED doesn't work at all even though I have this option enabled from the settings menu.

I have an n800 with os2008 where the claws settings have been reverted from the beta version.

Does anyone has an idea of what to check or simple confirmation that this works for anyone to make me try more!?

Thanks!

Seriously, Claws is the best app in the n800 and your track record proves a very dedicated team.

Of course and I was expecting something advertised from this team to work! I made the question with the intention of discovering if something extra is needed to be set on the n800 to make this work or if some settings prevent it.

OK. I'll try some more and if not.. I'll start from scratch.

I should add details of how it is intended to work...

Like the LED generally, it only works when the screen has hibernated - maybe this is the reason for your questions? First, turn on the LED on the Display page of the Control Panel, 'Show LED lights'. When Claws is set up to fetch mail automatically, during a fetch, if there are new messages and the screen has gone into sleep mode, the LED will give a flash to indicate that new mail has arrived. Normally, when the screen is sleeping the LED will flash regularly, this flash is a very quick flash. The flash that indicates that new mail has arrived is a flash with a slightly longer duration.

Hope that helps,

regards
Paul
