not able to install on OS2008 - incompatible program error

Looking forward to the OS2008 package! Thanks for your work on this...

I've uploaded a OS2008 version (thanks to maemovmware). Let me know if it works. You will still need 7zip before it can do anything useful. I'm working on some OS2008 packaging for 7zip now...

Still getting the same error trying to install the 2008 version - incompatible package.

I'm a newbie so maybe I'm missing something - trying to install via the application manager. Hope that's the right procedure.

after you try to install there should be an option to see the details (if not check the log -- in the app manager menu). I suspect it is the python2.5 dependancy. if so, you can goto http://pymaemo.garage.maemo.org/ and install the relevant packages (you need python2.5, python2.5-osso, python2.5-hildon and python2.5-gtk2 -- some or all of these may install automatically). otherwise I can try changing the package requirements.

The log error message says package must have 'Section:user/f00' to be considered compatible.

I've uploaded three p7zip packages for OS2008 (you can goto http://garage.maemo.org/projects/p7zip for OS2007), you should only need one of these but you should be able to install all 3:

p7zip-7z: 7z command line utility, supports all archive types, biggest download size
p7zip-7za: 7za command line utility, supports all archive types except RAR, medium download size : Squishee currently requires this one.
p7zip-7zr: 7zr command line utility, supports 7z only, smallest download

Thanks Cripes. Squishee now installs correctly and my .rar files show up as squishee files.

Unfortunately I can't launch Squishee (app looks like it launches then nothing happens). I am missing some of those python files so that must be it. Unfortunately I'm getting server errors trying to download them If anyone knows where I can get them independently I would be much obliged.

Yeah, I'm missing most of them still as well, so I haven't even bothered trying to install squishee yet, but the 7z package seems to work fine on OS2008.
