Well I just tried and found the same issue you described, would recommend sharing via email or faceplant etc, though obviously I wouldn't call that a solution, fingers crossed it's part of the bug fixes coming with PR1.2, which is just around the corner.

I'm having trouble sharing af video/link via SMS thorugh the Youtube "app" found on the app list.
When I launch the Youtube "app" (opens m.youtube.com) and find the video I want to share I press the share button - and choose SMS - and then it places the link/internedress in the field in which the contact/telephonenumber should be.
Anyone having the same problem? - and maybe having a solution?
