Can it work worldwide?

Sure it can, so does your Ipod or your laptop. It can connect to the internet and browse or use VOIP, but again you need a wifi connection. There are no worldwide wifi connection plans (the closest you can get are companies like boingo where you get access to where they have wifi hotspots). You can still use it as a PMP or even play music, but this is not a phone solution replacement, get the iphone if your looking for something like this but with phone capability.

I'm just guessing here, but I have a theory.

In large parts of the world, when they introduced the mobile phone for the first time they had to think of a suitable word for it in the local language.

The word they came up with was the word that the people sending the goods used "Nokia".

So for most of the world Nokia just means mobile phone in local speak. Hence, when you tell people that the "mobile phone" is not a mobile phone they just look at you blank

Gets even better when you say the "mobile phone" is not a mobile phone but you can make calls with it if...
