This video shows Peregrine running on a Meego tablet and a Nokia n9. They say something about it not being totally stable, but being ready last October or november. Cmon, it's gotta be done by now!

I am sure the limiting factor in the n810 was a technical reason for not supporting skype. n9 is not the same.
oh to the person who said i am selling the n9 if video calling is not supported in pr1.2 well put iton sale now to sell it by the time lumia 900 drops.

So can anyone with PR1.2 tell us anything about this?
I recall reading 3rd-party support has been improved
Does that mean the issues peregrine were having should be resolved.
And we can expect something from them soon?

Well, to be honest I would like to see a working 3G network based video calls built-in into the software. This would be the basic thing to start with.

Then, skype and the rest is another story. If the video talks were implemented only recently in PR1.2, surely Nokia will releases some API documentation on how to use it. I bet apps like that will eventually come.

I doubt that's gunna happen, there was never talk of that ever, even from the very beginning.
And as the team's now 70% smaller, they're not going to suddenly turn around & implement it.
Even implementing a framework for 3rd parties would be no "walk in the park"
The holes that have been punched, are for what this thread's about... :-(
