I bought N900 last year 7 march. 1 yr going to be finish with very nice experience of N900. specially because of this maemo community.

I want some suggestion from you friends that shall I extend warranty of N900 or not ?
Nokia offer me 1 year extended warranty with cost of Rs. 1414 (aprrox $ 29). For this they want to check my phone by opening all the parts.

As this phone is gifted by my gf so I am using it very safely in this 1 year not a single scratch on phone. And now they want to open it. here in India people said in nokia care some time they change parts of phone so I am in doubt.

suggest me is N900 really need warranty from nokia who already stopped making this nice device and in a major problem providing empty box E7 in place of this top device N900.

but why they want to open phone to check it ? if you damaged your N900 and your warranty was still valid then you will probably get a E7 or N8 may be another device but it for sure will not be another N900.

They want to open my N900 to check is my phone in good condition or not.They want to check is there any internal physical damage or not.After all this if in good condition then only they can extend warranty.
question is will it be good if I reject this offer of warranty extention from Nokia care ? Can Nokia help me if any problem come related to parts in future because already they had stopped this device or It will be like wasting of this money ?

I wouldn't let them open it. It never stays as sturdy it was before after opening
