When seg-faulting, the gui crashes (vanishes). I tried this twice, then tried to start from the icon, which worked! Quit and tried it again, still worked. Switched to 3 network instead of wifi. QSpot still starts. When once again it's started from the terminal, it now instead got stuck loading playlsts, until I quit. Output from that run:

Thanks for the output. Seems that the crash is due to QSpot trying to remove a probably non-existent playlist. The loading problem seems different, it just does not receive the playlist loading completed notification. I will need to look into it.

I've also been having similar issues. Sometimes I need to delete all playlists and wait for it to start working again. If I don't touch any of my playlists on desktop and don't use other mobile clients, it usually works fine for a while.

Symptoms are pretty odd. Sometimes it refuses to load the playlists. Sometimes it starts to resync the lists even when there are no changes to them. Sometimes some of the songs on the playlist appear green and not yellow. Sometimes songs don't play, they start to play but stay at 0:00. All of these usually happen when I really need music in the car

Hopefully the new version fixes some of these, I really can't live without QSpot. Any new features coming?

Hope to have an updated version available soon. The issues seems to be quite random, and I think many of them are related to the library (for instance, syncing related ones). So hopefully the library update in the next QSpot version will solve some problems.

Concerning new functionality, I have several things planned.. This list includes, among other things, folder support and playlist editing / creation.

I just thought I'd add this. I managed to start QSpot from X Terminal this morning, but after playing for 20 minutes and then quitting intentionally, it reported a segmentation fault anyway. Incomplete output since X Terminal cut the beginning:

Segmentation fault

Thought it might be of interest.
Thanks for the debug output..
The segmentation fault at the end is a known issue, it seems that it is caused by some memory deallocation problem in the underlying library (happens upon exit of the application).

I hope to provide an updated QSpot version by the end of this week.

I'm trying to uninstall the package Qspot but here's my result:

/home/user # apt-get remove qspot
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
qspot
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 4424kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y
(Reading database ... 39425 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing qspot ...
rm: can't remove '/home/user/MyDocs/.qspot': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing qspot (--remove):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 1
Processing triggers for catorise ...
################################################## ##########################################
Errors were encountered while processing:
qspot
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
/home/user #

In Faster Application Manager there's no Qspot, so I can reinstall it.
In the original Application Manager, in the remove program list, Qspot is still here but it's not removable.

I remember that there's a file with a list of the installed, removed or to update apps, long time ago I've solved another problem like this searching and removing the string of the app that I wanted to not show again in the installed apps. But I can't remember the name..

Also, I can't update "qutIM extra protocols" and "qutIM extra plugins", it says:
"There is a version mismatch between your original package selections and some of the packages being installed from the repositories.
This could be due to your application catalogs being out of date"

And in the next passage:

"The following operations will be performed:
1 to install/upgrade, 1 to remove
Total download size:503 kb

REMOVE:
qspot***UNKNOWN*** 1.1.0-1

INSTALL/UPGRADE:
qutim-extra-protocols 0.3.1-maemo-0 (503 kb)"

And give me an error in the next step.

The same thing appens with the other package to update (qutIM extra plugins)

Sorry if I wrote a lot but I do not know what is wrong, qspot or others app

SOLVED
I've created two directories:
home/user/MyDocs/.qspot
home/user/.config/qspot

Run uninstall again, all fine.
The qutim problem it's not related.

It is likely uninstall might fail in case those directories are missing, as they should be present (auto-created) in case QSpot has been installed.
