if I uninstall it will it undo whatever it did? not worth the risk for a beta, especialy on a linux noobs n810. I was to excited, jumped the gun and installed it because of the msn addon. oh wells. I'll wait for the official release.

Check if you are offline etc. I didn't have to import manually any contacts.

if contacts having to be manualy imported was listed as one of the bugs/things to be fixed in a future release like the other limitations..
"
1. No audio/video calls with either telepathy-haze or telepathy-salut
2. No avatars support yet with telepathy-salut
3. No authorization of new contacts in telepathy-haze. Adding/removing buddies won't work from it."

I wouldnt have commented. but perhaps its just something I need to play around with to get it to work.

Well, looks like nice upgrade... but if I have already installed and using Pidgin, is there any good reason why should I ditch Pidgin? Some new features that Pidgin doesn't support, maybe?

(As said it is beta... and *may* contain some bugs and have usability issues...)

1. sign up for gizmo
2. sign up for grandcentral
3. configure grandcentral to use your gizmo 10-digit phone no.
4. configure rtcomm for sipphone.com using gizmo phone no.

free incoming calls: landline calls to the grandcentral phone no. => ring the tablet as an internet call (voip)

free outgoing calls: calls from the grandcentral.com address book (or inbox) => ring the tablet as an internet call (voip) => ring the lineline

Enjoy!

Note: if flash player is not available, use grandcentral.com/mobile and select gizmo no. as your mobile number.
