I found one bug of profilematic.
Version: v1.6.1
Phone: N9.
I set two rules, one is set to Silent when 08:30-08:31 Monday to Friday, another one is set to Ringing when 17:00-17:01 Monday to Friday.
These two rules work well from Monday to Friday. But after weekend, it will not work on next Monday.
I need to deactive the rules and atctive them again. then it works well.
The bug is there for long time, and I couldn't find any change in every version.
Thanks.

OK I think I found where is the problem...
I installed 1.6.1 again and I saw the background connection is set to OFF in the "BT on" rule.
I changed this to ON and Availability start to work immediately.. I changed background again to "Don't change" and rebooted my phone, When phone completely loaded, the Availability switched to ON automatically.. For now all right..
I installed again version 1.6.2 and Availability still working..
I don't know why, but ProfileMatic somehow remember my changes of Background to ON, and now it's always activate this but in version 1.6.2 i can't change this anymore...
Without background ON the Availability not work even if I see the blue line near the rule...

I would like to include at least a FAQ and maybe some example configurations to ProfileMatic's homepage. But it's always being delayed as when I have time I rather do some programming :P.
No, it's actually for quite different use case. ProfileMatic is for recurring planned occurences. RingingRestorer is meant more for unexpected situations that can't be scheduled. For example, I can't schedule my toilet visits, so RingingRestorer can help there. I can put phone silent during my "private time" in toilet, and be assured that the phone restores ringing mode after a while.
I put RingingRestorer as paid app because I wanted to experiment if it's worthwhile to have paid apps there. Another reason was that I didn't create the application for my own needs (although now that the application has been created, I find it quite useful and am using it), but because another user requested it. I would have liked to get a bit compensation for the time used.
I don't intend to charge for ProfileMatic, except by begging for donations. Thanks to all who've donated! It's not a big sum I've gotten that way, but it is nevertheless motivating that there are users who find the application worth while of donations.

Typically in any given place, the cell id changes between a couple of values.
I don't exactly know how to do these, maybe some fancy shell scripting could do that with ProfileMatic's "Custom action".
Harmattan has automatic WiFi scanning in the background. I'm a bit uncertain what you're trying to do as it seems to me Harmattan has built-in the functionality: auto-connect to specified WiFis, disconnect once out of range.

Awesome, that'd encourage more to fully/actively use profilematic, instead of giving-up after a while!
Hence they'd be more likely to donate etc...
Some excellent use cases to point out, are ones that workaround/mitigate any nasty bugs remaining.
You mean even with the same cell tower you can still have different cell ID's?
Or do you mean that sometimes I'll end-up on a different cell tower (diff. ID), even if I'm in exactly the same location?
You're right, but I find it doesn't work all that well in practice...
It comes up w/a prompt to connect, it doesn't just auto-connect in the background.
I have background connections enabled and automatic etc...
I still think it's worthwhile charging for it at the Nokia Store, more-so than RingingRestorer.

Honestly, I have 3 rules with Availability..
1. Tomy slipping = Silent + Availability change OFF (without restoring) when 21:00-06:40 All days
2. Availability on = Availability change ON (without restoring) when on location (don't remember why i did this rule, the location ID like in the rule #3)
3. BT on = BlueTooth ON + Availability change ON (without restoring) when on location and 06:45-23:58 All days (the time because of BT)
And yes (about your question), I checked and I saw the blue lines when the rules is active, but Availability is still OFF...
Now I checked again all my rules and I think I found some mistakes... I don't know why, maybe I or maybe after updates something happens.. I edited this rules and I will check tomorrow if this work...
Thanks again...
