Greetings:

I use a N800 and have the latest OS2008 firmware.

For 5 days now I've been trying to update some Apps in the repository.

In the Update list there are a few apps like Skype, OMweather, etc that need to be updated.

But when I try to update, it states update has failed.

I can't believe that after 2 weeks the OS2008 firmware has been released, we are still having problems with the repositories.

Has anyone else had the same problems in updating apps in the repositories?

Regards Robert

check the app manager log. you most likely have a repo that is not responding. figure out which one it is, and disable it in the repository list. then you can refresh the app list and install your updates.

Thanks Brendan:

The only repo that I have just delete was the temporay Canola repo that was put up to help download Canola.
But after trying to disable each Repo and trying to update the apps, I still get a failed update.
Here is a list of my Repo names and URL's:

1) Nokia Catalog:http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/
2) Nokia catalog (3rd party software):
http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/non-certified/
3) Nokia System Software Updates: can not edit this repo
4) Maemo Extras:http://repostory.maemo.org/extras/
5) Gizmo Catalogue: http://packages.gizmoproject.com/chinook

I had a similar issue. You might need to clear the internal memory card here is how to do it

The Second Internal memory card was somehow set to read only. I could not undo this with my virtual mem on, and virtual mem would not disable itself. Ultimately, I turned the unit off, hooked it to the USB cord to my Windows XP computer and turned it on. My computer could then play with both the internal cards. I copied as much as I could off the 2gig internal and then formated it (using Windows). I turned off my N810, unplugged it from USB and turned it back on. Virtual mem was disabled now, and the drive had write access again.
