As much as I hate to say it, but WP7.5>Harmattan.

And that's NOKIA's fault, since MeeGo>>>WP.
Also hardware-wise, L-900 > N9.

So no [real] contest that L900>N9.....but I chose "I don't like any of them" because its the most accurate answer.

I'm beginning to like Android more-and-more, I believe 2.34+ > WP7.5 as long as the device is easily rootable, has unlocked bootloader and custom roms. So without the "product value" I would choose the SGS or EPIC 4G over the L-900 easily. The fact that it has the latest Android 4.0.4 ICS and a AOKP port is just extra incentive.

And that's a 1.5year old device!
Now we've got offerings like Captivate Glide, RAZR/Droid4, One S/X, LG 4X HD, Gnex and NOTE....and even better ones like NOTE2 coming shortly.

Just got my N9 and to compare it to the Lumia 900, the N9 has better hardware (construction). Software wise, WP7 contacts and social integration are far superior to Meego, but I feel that if Nokia actually put some effort into Meego then it would have also been good. Both OSes have their quirks and limitations compared to other OSes but it isn't so bad. I'm waiting for WP8 for a fuller OS paired with Nokia's superior hardware before I'll judge if the Lumia line will be better than Meego.

Oh yea, the decision for Nokia to forego the stupid USB latch on the 900 was a smart move. The latch on the N9 seems so flimsy and not durable at all.

All in all, if you are not a heavy app user, I don't think you can go wrong with either devices.

I probably got the oldest N9 here. The latch is OK!!! If you want to, there is no problem breaking it, but I meam, there is no problem breaking your screen with a hammer either - if you want to

Holy crap, I just read the gsmarena reviews on both and, in addition to the N9 being superior in most categories, just learned that it has 10 hours additional battery life over the Lumia 900. Only 29 hours in light use vs. 39 for the N9. Since 39 hrs is just basically enough to get through a busy work day Lumia 900 users would have to drag an extra battery around
