Thanks

Frankly, I have no idea how to do this in Windows; I almost never use it so I don't really know how you would do something like this. I'm pretty sure that you would need to install Linux at some point in the process anyway to deal with the chrooting stuff.

As for making a video: The instructions in this thread are rather outdated (particularly Nitdroid), but I can probably make a new set of instructions once I get Kubuntu working again (at which point, I'll have a hex-boot setup). I don't have the time right now to make a video, but I probably will by the end of the summer.

Any progress with this?
Here's hoping.

I may do this too, right now I'm just trying to get Ubuntu 12.04 working right.

Tell me if you get that working, I haven't had much luck.

Ok, thanks.
Just to say, others in this forum (example on Ubuntu 12.04 on N900 with U-Boot thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...nu#post1203881) seem to have negative feelings about Backupmenu. If there is a better way to backup/restore I would happily change. Backupmenu worked great for me after an enforced reflash.

I've used Backupmenu; you just need to use the Multiboot version instead of the Bootmenu version and it'll play nicely.

Wait until I post a new tutorial. I don't have this setup anymore so I am afraid I can't really help.

8gb is plenty; 4gb should also work (haven't tested though).
