No word on a few of the specifications yet, but it looks awfully similar to an n810. I figure it's statues as a competitor will really depend on the final price of this device, which is yet to be seen.

I like the idea of placing the service indicator lights on the body, if that can free up UI real estate without causing any issues.

It's not just the likely price; considering what's inside the LG it has to be quite a bit heavier than a N810. Apart from that, though, it could be a very real competitor.

It's got an HDD instead of an internal SDHC slot, which is a no-go for me. No moving parts, please...

putting a small HHD in anything this small these days is bad judgement , when you can readily go out and buy 16gb of flash memory in a package the size of a postage stamp...companies need to abandon lower capacity hard drives and focus on higher and higher capacity flash drives

Larger, heavier, hotter and half the battery life -- that's my guess. I'm not an expert on power requirements, but I'm guessing adding a hard disk to N800 would double the power draw...

fat, ugly, uninspired. not much of an improvement compared to the oqo. not as pretty/slim as the n810.

Moving parts + gravity = bad. An SSD would be fine, but other than that, no.

My n800 has slipped once or twice. Dust it off and keep on working. Do that with the lg and you are done for.

Also, while having a processor that fast would be nice, I can't imagine that unit selling for less than $1,000 and possibly considerably more. If I could by 2 or more n810s for ones of these, I don't think there's much question which I'd get.
