4. I have NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER for person A saying 'I am a better (fill in the blanc) than person B, C .... and it is so wrong that I didnt get rewarded. That kind of behaviour is EXACTLY what at least I will NEVER reward. It is SELFISH beyond anything and NOT IN ANY WAY supporting the community.
I just got a negative respond for a job-application, surely they are wrong, and knows nothing about their own business, less to say which kind of expertise they wanted as a company. NO, they were right, and I move on to the next place!
I try to keep an objective attitude. I believe every single one of you have the right to express their opinion. As a councelar I believe I am restricted, and supposed to keep a good tone here. I will continue to do so, and spend my effort in keeping this place alive!
Really this stinks to high heaven and makes me puke everytime a council member comes on here now.
You cannot even spell your title right for gods sake Counselor

Actually there was one N950 sold for 920 pounds(or was it euros?) on e-Bay yesterday, so your calculations are wrong :P. But that is not the point.
And while I agree that this was your only chance to get such a device having in mind the field you are contributing in (part of my contribution is in the same field, just the kernel is older, so I know), I really cannot understand your point re council members. Do you really think a public list with member names in the left column and their contributions in the right will do any good to the community? How exactly?
And honestly, what makes you think you deserve a CA more that SD69? I can bet it is the lack of information, as you were not here in the sad times that started approx an year ago. And I am not accusing you for being a new member, just stating the fact. You just have no clue.
I am talking about SD69 as it seems noone complains he is CA winner. Now, if the council members were not eligible for CA, that would've meant SD69 to be not eligible too. Which is unacceptable by any measurement.
And one more think - you said you bought your N9 using your hard earned money. So what? I fail to see the point, i.e. how does this fact makes you a more suitable for CA than others. I did the same, with the difference that I bought 2 N900 devices, without expecting anything in return. So did the others. Actually it was a very big surprise when qgil announced there will be 25 devices for CA, that was a totally unexpected move made by Nokia. I hope you will see my point.
Also the "harmattan community" should rethink once again what lma said in regard that it is better if the council members have harmattan devices - for good or bad all of them are N900 owners(AFAIK), they have never touched N9/50 (at least most of them). Think, isn't it possible once they have such devices, their attitude to "harmattan community" you find disrespectful now, to change. Not that I am implying they are disrespectful.
I will beg you and the others once again to stop that flamewar, it does not help anyone in any way. The same Council you're offending is supposed to lead the community in its hardest times. Think about that, not about those devices.

The other thing you fail to notice is that itsnotabigtruck and e-yes are both doing things that aren't officially approved by Nokia, so outside of the community awards how are they suppose to get another device?
Especially when they have made the impossible (workarounds for aegis, and NITDROID on N9) possible?

Hurrian for the life of me, I can't find any major contributions from...
Chemist for the love god he is a glorified moderator.
At this point I could have applied and done more. I am by no means a coder, but my contributions to community have been more than these 3.... combined, unless I am missing something.
And those are the 3 I researched thoroughly... The rest I will keep researching.
Please Niel, explain your contradictory statements to your behavior.

Outside of SD69 again, no one deserved a device on the council.
I applaud Woody for not taking a device, but his behavior is so ridiculous it's hard to take him serious.
Estel has an air of arrogance about him that makes him think he's better than everyone, so much so that he puts me on an ignore list. Nevermind the fact that he's combative beyond belief.
Next is ivgalvez and nieldk, I am eager to see how these 2 play out, because if things don't get better, well, maemo.org is more or less finished.

also talking about rewards could someone enlighten me what has someone like matan done over the past 18months as his last post was on the 6th of Jan 2011.
its this old boys' mentality that is worrying everyone around here who are objecting. its not greed of devices but the fairness in judging with newer harmattan only devs not given the recognition we think they deserve especially as this seems to be their last avenue in getting a device for further development.
