First off, I've got the N800 with OS2008 on it (just installed 2 days ago).

So yeah, When I try and pair my 1st Gen (the bigger one, less sleek one) with my N800, I do what I'm supposed to do, enter the passcode correctly, and it always says that it failed.

Anyone else have this? Have a solution?

I got mine to pair (type the digits then Enter), but it wouldn't quite work, so if I typed "abc" it would end up "abccccccc..."

That happened occasionally with OS07, but that was only when I had had the N800 + Keyboard Paired for awhile.

OK, so I restarted my system and magically it worked!

But I get the same thing as tz1 does, at it makes me want to murder someone.

Anyone?

Using N800 & 2008 OS & Apple Wireless Keyboard!
Get to the dialog box where the n800 identifies the Apple KB and generates a passcode.
THEN

TYPE THE GENERATED PASS CODE ON THE APPLE KB & HIT RETURN ON THE APPLE KB

Click ok in the n 800 dialog box and if all goes well they should be paired.
I have had better results using the Nokia KB setting rather than the Generic

If you need accents etc hold the option key down and press all the other keys and you should have your fill :-)

Great keyboard

Hope this helps

hello,
did you find any solution to that prob?
I'm having the same. What is the use of using a keyboard if every others keys repeat itself multiple time... annoying!

Thanks

N800
OS2008
Apple BT keyboard (older version, white, all plastic)
