With qt creator, i'm having issues connecting my PR1.3 N9 to my computer (via usb and wan same error).

Via usb popup menu i select sdk mode, and can use vnc fine with tightvnc, and when i ping the device, it all works. Yet when I go to setup QtCtr and then proceed to "deploy key" it tells me:

Connection Failed: Connection Refused.

Is this a known issue with PR1.3, is that why so many people are hanging back on 1.2?
Is there something I may be missing?

Thanks for your input, it's highly appreciated!

there shouldn't be any problems, works for me in pr1.3. maybe you have misstyped the ip or the password from sdk connection UI? ssh server is only started after you start that application.

If you connect manually with ssh, does the password that UI shows work?

The provided password works through vnc, is that good enough?

Could you describe how you configured QtC?

Like, "new device" , mad developer, then..?

Do you select MeeGo 1.2?

Try using a custom password via the SDK app. I did a fresh install of PR 1.3 on my N9 and QtSDK works fine...

i think you need to re-deploy ssh keys(did you flash?) connect with password from sdk tools on harmattan and than deploy keys again.

I had a similar error when upgrading from 1.1 to 1.2 and it was the permissions of the home folder to blame. Somehow the upgrade changed those.

Yeah the UI next to "deploy keys" is a bit misleading in Qt SDK - you need to select password and type in the one from the SDK app.

Okay, definitely lving the support so far, but Ireally have not made any headway.

@Qwazix - How did you determine if it was a home permission error?

What i'm currently doing:

On PC (Win 7 64bit):
Starting QtC
> Options
> linux device
> Add..
> Device with MADDE...
> Name = N9
> System on device = MeeGo 1.2
> Kind of Device = Hardware
> Ip Address = 192.168.2.15
> SSH port = 22
> Passwordless-key has not been setup
> Create New Keys
> New keys created and encrypted with password qwerty
> Device Address = 192.168.2.15
> Password = qwerty.
Device:
plug in Usb cable
> select SDk mode
> start sdk connectivity...
> Usb
> Settings
>> run dhcp server on usb = checked
>> use custom password = qwerty
> VNC
>> Run server on usb = 1
>> session is view-only = 1
After all that i kinda assume i just press "deploy keys" and it should connect, but instead it simply rports "conection failed: conection refused"

so stumped :/

Try deleting known_hosts in your .ssh folder (in your computer) and see if it's working as I have the same setup Qt Creator 2.5 and N9 PR 1.3 and it's working flawlessly..

Okay, so that's the process you use to make it work?
