I don't know... I'd rather never close apps. In that respect iOS has got it quite right. Why should the user care if an app is open or not? We can debate about whether that is practical to realise or not, but, like memory management in coding, I'd rather not have to think about it..

Because when I'm done with an application I want to close it, so it starts fresh the next time. Also, the "multitasking" on iOS, WP and lesser extend Android annoys me greatly, as it is more "taskswitching" like we had in 1989. From both user and developer standpoint I really prefer the multitasking as is implemented on Maemo, MeeGo and Symbian - it leaves me in control.
I've never ran out of memory on the N9. And when I don't want to close an app, well... I simply swipe it aside.

Python & PySide support
I asked about Python support on the Jolla IRC channel. It seems that as long it works on Mer, it should be no issue. There are actually already quite a few buildable PySide RPM Mer packages on COBS.

Aegis can't because it's poorly executed, and was made for the wrong reasons, but anyway, all fences have holes. But I would like if I it at least tried to protect my contacts and data from irrelevant applications. Or my cpu from malware.
The settings panel would allow me to turn on notifications for all sorts of things, most importantly, when apps try to send information (other than authentication) from the device. I'd especially want to know if an app is sending location information, so if an app accesses the GPS and then tries to send data, my device will block it and ask me if I will allow it. And there's always a "more information" button to show me the host it is sending the data to, etc.
I also think a good watchdog will protect the user from all sorts of attacks, and a notification to the user, "such-and-such app is attempting to delete files from the Documents folder. Do you wish to allow this?"
