you can just install it in terminal as mentioned in KP50 thread 
it is easier i think !
apt-get install kernel-power-flasher kernel-power-bootimg
Do it at your own risk !

i have problems from kernel power50 after i enabled & installed from FAM (fam available: extras fremantle, extras fremantel 1.3 & extras devel fremantle 1.3). My n900 won't respons after i using switch off for the 3 times finally i need to force reboot my device then working again. i think this is my mistakes..
