So I was up late last night fiddling around with my new n9, I got an OTA update to pr1.3 on my Swiss variant N9 (059l5d4), and I felt like doing a fresh flash of the firmware just because I always feel better about having a 100% fresh install, for whatever reason.
My product code variant wasn't available on Navifirm, so I downloaded a few random 64gb firmwares all with the same resulting "finishing in error state with status 10" for not allowed to downgrade. Finally, one worked! I was tired, and probably should have been paying more attention, but I flashed the China Unicom firmware. So now I'm stuck with a load of chinese pre installed apps, no twitter, and an annoying boot video with a fun little jingle. I have since tried flashing numerous firmware images, all with the resulting " finishing in error state with status 10", even with some that have higher version numbers! For instance... the China unicom version I flashed was-

DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3.418.2_PR_LEGACY_418_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed

And the latest one I tried was -

DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3.468.1_PR_LEGACY_468_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed

with the same error code outcome. Can anyone out there shed any light on what I may be doing wrong? Am I wrong in trying to look for a firmware with a higher number scheme in it? Is there a way to "force" flasher to put a different firmware on the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I know it was a horribly stupid mistake and I deserve the pain and suffering I've been going through because of it. Help please!

ok don't jump to 468 immediately; its the highest available pr legacy...

now that you have pr418 try 059L6C3 which is austrian tmobile with pr legacy 430...

actually there is a way to get rid of the irritants that you are facing:
if you want any stock apps just do a apt-get install to get them (e.g. apt-get install twitter)
if you want to search package names go to http://vesuri.jormas.com/harmattan/pr13changes.html and search them but be careful on what you install or just do apt-cache search SUSPECTED_PKG_NAME
getting rid of the boot animation is also possible...search on the forums on how to change it there are the stock animations also uploaded...you can download them and overwrite...

As for pre-loaded apps, if you can't uninstall them, use N9QTweak to do it or just live with it...

Edit: If you really need to downgrade contact itsnotabigtruck to help you out...

I think you are out of luck. You do need a higher version number to reflash. But I think the culprit is that you won't find that until a new firmware is released - which probably won't happen now try to search the complete reflashing guide to see if any succeeded.
Hopefully the possibility of downgrading can be cracked - which I would say is your only hope

Good luck

yep your screwed forever basicly, once you flash China cmt-mcusw, you cannot got back to 001 vanilla, even if PR1.4 is released.

You can flash partial parts with --flash-only flag, but it means that your phone is then in openmode forever (but you can boot to vanilla in openmode).

Thanks for the input guys.
@thedead1440

I would totally be okay with keeping the Chinese firmware on as long as everything I wanted to run, ran. I managed to delete the branded boot animation. The built in programs weren't able to be deleted with quick tweak(kept saying programs locked when I selected either 001pr or 005pr, maybe because I'm on 006pr?), so I just put them in a folder marked junk. No big deal. Now, I tried apt-get install twitter, and it did install twitter, but when I try to sign in, it just doesn't do anything. Clicking "sign in" doesn't function. Also, when I go under notifications in settings, and try to add the twitter feed to the notifications panel, it says "qtn_twit_no_account". And I get a similar "qtn_fbk_notifications" for facebook. Although I CAN get facebook to sorta work, it just shows the "qtn_fbk_" everywhere. Am I missing some packages perhaps? This seems like the most sensible route to go as of now(get the applications installed correctly and soldier on with the crappy unicom firmware)

@rainisto

What exactly should I be flashing with the --flash-only flag? I tried flashing different firmwares' nolo, rootfs, kernel, cmt all with no success. It just spits out the error status 10 code. Is there some way to do this that I might be overlooking? Is inception required(always assumed inception worked once in the os, not while phone is turned off etc, could be totally wrong as I'm not really all that versed on it)?

Again, thanks for the suggestions guys, but so far not a whole lot of luck. And do I need a certain amount of posts to make a private message?

Woohoo!
Okay, after installing a few more packages, namely:

account-plugin-twitter
l10n-app-twittershare
l10n-app-twitter
webupload-service-twitter

I was able to sign on to twitter, and I no longer have the "qtn_twit" label on everything. Same goes for facebook(installed the corresponding facebook packages for the above files).

So things are getting a little more bearable. Would still really like to know how to delete those pre installed appliations, aside from the quick tweak route. Any suggestions?

Damnit! I just realized that accuweather isn't on here either. Just tried installing "restore accuweather for meego" from the nokia store, failed with a "unable to trace installation package dependencies". Any ideas for that? Thanks again guys!

Okay, after a few apt-get remove's followed by and apt-get autoremove I was able to remove all the preinstalled China Unicom bloatware(along with the operator logo on the screen saver). My only problems now, are Accuweather not being able to install, and I'm having issues syncing my Calendar with my old n8(didn't have an issue with the prior non China Unicom firmware). I'm getting an "internal error" when I try and sync the Calendar. Contacts, notes, all work fine. hmmmm......

Try apt-get install wxapp

i would suggest using meecast instead of accuweather, it gives better flexibility (incl. Weather widget in event screen, lockscreen and standby screen too if u wish) and has no ads.
