Sent an email to the Qneptunea dev, we will see what he says and he might possibly post back here

Feel free to refer the tweetian dev to this thread so he can give his input though!

The more options the better, and MAG might be able to help him with code or vice-a-versa

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..

Well I don't see many or ANY of them sticking around for the N9 to be in a CSSU stage, they will all sod off to buy the new android or iOS device in a year or probably less

Well I'm sure they'll stick around...you see nowhere else can they find a community like ours which will answer to the Billionth person asking/requesting the same thing

Even if they leave they'll end up back for this reason...After seeing so many of them I'm even more sure about this

It needs to run in the background, the way the event feed works is by using URI schemas (just like iOS does app-from-app switching), so you define a schema and let your app handle it.

In my case, I used sociality://.
I post has the URI sociality://post/POST_ID_HERE.
Since I implemented URIs for this, I added sociality://profile/PROFILE_ID_HERE(/albums|friends).
So linking to those will open the respective part in Sociality.

I might go ahead and implement the fb:// schema, so Harmattan and iOS behave the same (for QR Codes or otherwise).

Can't you just have it run every time the news feed is refreshed?

How does that reflect on battery life? I know not of how iOS fb handling reflects on their battery and how that would translate to harmattan.

Running in background shouldn't impact battery life a lot.
You can test impact by opening Sociality, tapping news feed and leaving it in background.

Sociality will also have a start minimized option, useful for auto start.

This is how the news feed looks now, it looks very close to stock.


I'll release it as soon as I polish it (hopefully tomorrow or the day after)

I don't know if i am alone on this one, but i like this blue and white text version more . It's look so clean, but other can be like the stock one!
