I had this issue also it is really annoying, but let me tell you how to fix it.
For me it happened when i had to many chats in my chatlist. And you need to delete some chats before wazapp will work properly.
But if you start up wazapp it will close when it connects. Disable your network connection start wazapp and now you will have some more time to delete chats before it closes. This worked for me, try it.

new update feels like a downgrade..found 2 bugs till now, 1 old
1. downloaded pics cannot be sent again
2. vidoes, music all show pic gallery

Even i confirm it !! Everything works perfect except that all the media sharing icons open up the picture gallery , but the rest of the app in my opinion is much better than the official app !!
You developers myt just end up giving the official whatsapp developers a run for their money !!

Changed from tgalals version (2.6) to version 28082012_1355

I had to delete the .db file, but it was worth it =D
And you don't have to root the N9 to delete it... Just install a Filemanager and search the .wazapp/xxxxxxxxx.db file

would like to thank all the Developers behind wazapp and this community. You guys really rock. And wazapp is really better than its official one. Just hoping for a unique UI and little bug improvements. But its truly an awsome effort. Thanx again guys :-)
