Is it possible to do without clean database? I kept about 7000 sms, do not want to delete.

overclock is used when necessary, but the reason is not exactly the point.

The point is that overclock could lead to corrupted data (conversations db in your case) if done unwise. And you definitely suffer from a corrupted database.

You could try to use ovi suite to backup your sms-es, don't know if that works though.

You can try doing things as described here: http://www.parorrey.com/blog/technol...on-nokia-n900/ this guy shows three possible solutions from which only one includes deleting database.

I would also humbly suggest glogarchiver. It can store, sort, search, and view the database much more efficiently. This allows you to not only export them (as csv) but also allows you to clean out your primary database for better performance. I find that having over a few thousand entries tends to make the whole thing slow down. Not only that, but this one database stores all kinds of info, including in/out call info, SMS data, IM messages, and more.

There is also a simple way to clean out and compact your existing database, which is useful if yours has become corrupted or you do a lot of deleting. I don't recall the exact command now, but you can power search for "sqlite dump" and the name of the database file (evl.db?).

Edit: Misiak linked to a good article about the second thing above.

Strains constantly reboot the phone ..
These corrupted databases were also quite common on the original version too. Don't think we can easily blame this version. Didn't use this version myself though.. But the corrupted database bug has occured once on me

I`m running this sqlite3 version since day one (now with CSSU Thumb) - started with clean database: removed previous and rebooted before installation.
Zero problems and faster sms browsing (scrolling up into sms conversation history).
CSSU worthy package IMHO.

You can downgrade by
Code:
# apt-get install sqlite3=3.6* libsqlite3-0=3.6*
in case you would suspect that newer sqlite3 is to be blamed somewhere.

Thanks to misiak, freemangordon, woody14619 and mr_pingu for assistance when I was out

The fact that the problem exists only appeared after the update, recently nothing else installed. But I did VACUUM and do not watch more than a day to the problem. It is possible that this was an unfortunate coincidence. In any case, thank you for your support!
