Hello,
I've compiled cgoban1 for OS2008. I've started from debian SID package, then replaced the source files from the maemo OS2006 port, but without hildon libs. Using hildon breaks IGS (empty games window, games boards don't open), don't know why. So the window won't resize and no text input (at least on n800, on n810 hardware keyboard may work, but I don't have one to test), to insert your igs username and password you may edit /home/user/.cgobanrc or copy it from your desktop.
You have to install the package from xterm as root with "dpkg -i /path/to/file.deb". You can download the debian package from:

http://www.digitaldruid.net/download...4-14_armel.deb

and source from:

http://www.digitaldruid.net/download...-1.9.14.tar.gz

Gnugo from OS2006 port is still working, download it from:

https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...m1-1_armel.deb

thanks a lot! The "no typing" thing is pretty annoying, but at least I can play GO on the device.

Hello,
I finally got it installed and running but I am having trouble getting connected to IGS (GNU Go works great though!). I don't know how to edit the .cgobanrc file. When I look in the /home/user/ directory, there is nothing there. Could someone help me? Thanks a lot!

Ok, I got it working. If anyone else was having trouble the .cgobanrc is a hidden file so you must use ls -a to find it. Then I used the command vi .cgobanrc to edit it. Look online for the commands of the vi editor. There might be a better or easier way but this is what worked for me!

Sorry if this is reviewing a dead thread but. How do you play GNUGO from Cgoban? I can't get it to work.

Hi, in case u still need this info: to use gnugo daemon u have to click go modem from the cgoban gui, and then u'll see another windows which let you choose which player have to use gnugo... And from that on is a walk
