I refreshed my applications list in the Applications Manager and Evince was right there in the installable apps list. Downloaded and installed it no problem.Joy! Thanks for making this available in OS2008.

Hi,

evince 2.21.1-1.maemo2 has been uploaded to extras-devel.
It contains fixes for #1973 and #1974(hardware keys support).
You can install it from http://evince.garage.maemo.org/evince-devel.install

Please test this build and report/reopen bugs if any.

Remember, it's still development build, not for endusers, only for testers.

Ed

Do I have to delete a config file or do I have to reboot after updating to the new version to get the keys working (on a N800)? Because they don't work for me ...

No, you shouldn't do anything like that. Which hardware do you have? I tried this build on N810 only. Are you sure you installed maemo2 build?

Yes, maemo2 build on a N800 with current OS2008. The updated evince showed up in updates and I installed it. The buttons on the top of the N800 don't work for me in evince.
edit: and rebooting or "rm -rf ~/.config/evince/" doesn't help

I'll check it out on my N800 then. Thank you for reporting this.

You do not need to test it on the N800, just close the keyboard on your N810 and you will get the same effect.

It seems that keyboard-accelerators are disabled as long as there is no hardware-keyboard. I have the same problem with my Gnumeric package:

N800 with on-screen-keyboard - hardware-keys do not work
N800 with Bluetooth-Keyboard - hardware-keys are working
N810 closed - hardware-keys do not work
N810 open - hardware-keys are working

Regards,
Thomas

Thank you Chelli for clarifying this. Do you have more detailed info about this and how to actually make hw keys working? They're somhow working in other applications, right?
