Hey Folks -

Past owner of an N810 and 900 here. I loved both devices but strayed to the Windows Phone camp. As I wait for WP8, I bought an N9 on a whim to use in this limbo period before the Lumia 920 drops.

Oddly enough, my two most-used apps, besides email, are Spotify & Vimeo, so I should feel at home on the N9.

Two questions for the group:

1) I read conflicting reports -- can someone give me a definite answer: Are there threaded conversations in the email client? I really hope so.

2) How many feeds does one need to have in the RSS client before the phone starts to lag?

I'd like to run a vanilla N9 -- don't feel like tweaking it -- so I'd like to know how far I can push it before it lags and/or slows down.

Thanks -- can't wait to get my N9!

Im not sure about the first question. However, regarding the second one, I believe that it will lag no matter how many feeds you have in the feeds and notification screen. I would download the stable version of fasterN9 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=83940
and the lag on the feed screen would rarely occur no matter how many feeds you have. Also your phone would run smoother than ever.
Just my 2 cents.

What are the cons of FasterN9? One I read about was that music in Spotify, when it's offline, stutters. That kind of sucks for me since I use Spotify alot and tend to download music to my phone.

I guess it'll boil down to what I hate more: laggy phone or stuttering music.

Yup I forgot about that. Maybe you could give nokia music a try in the music store app.

Thanks. I didn't know it was available for the N9 -- I will try it out when I receive my N9. Perhaps this could be the answer.

Yes. Settings -> Applications -> E-mail -> 3rd setting
