Though using default Opera Mobile icon works flawlessly
If you used opera tablet from N9QT, run this command for fixing this problem:
Code:
sed -i 's/Exec.*/Exec=\/opt\/operamobile-labs\/bin\/operamobile-labs -tabletui/' /usr/share/applications/operamobile-tablet.desktop

Is it worthwhile updating to the most recent versions...
I don't really want to lose the ability use the native VKB (even if it is a bit flaky on the rare occasion).
IIRC some of the most significant things the new versions brought can be hacked in anyway.

my tiny review on few pages back :

- no native vkb support yet
- installed Opera will affect.image launcher for Filebox, Wazapp, etc.
- touchscreen feedback seems not working for opera's vkb, or just me?

that 's all...and sadly i need to uninstall opera.. Due to no.2 issue ...

ohrn,

I know you dont want to integrate the n950 hardware keyb.
Maybe we can find a workaround for this.

Is it possible to lock the screen orientation?
And is it possible to disable the vkeyb at all?

This would be a great workaround for n950 users!

Yeah but it (or the version before) added the option to switch between stock/opera as default browser, & some other significant things, right?

Seems there's a workaround for that, if I encounter it.

I doubt I'll get that...

Since last update opera is superheating the battery and drains it very fast. I usualy have it running in background all days but now i cant. Its not really an issue since i can just close the app, but its annoying since i always had it running 24/7 before without wasting the battery.

I have the same problem. I left Opera opened all night two days ago and the battery had fallen dramatically on the following morning. Looking at the battery monitor, the culprit was 'opera'...

Sounding more like it's not worth upgrading to the latest versions, think I'll stick with the one that allows native VKB use.
