I've got my own domain with google apps, and I was hoping the Nokia 800 was going to interact a little better than its turning out to. I've read the threads about how we don't need a word processing or spreadsheet app because we could use our google docs but guess what? when I look at it and try to use it, there's only like one line visible and thats before I try to enlarge it or make it fit width so the fonts register a size above 2 (ha, ha..).. anyway to continue..
google reader-- kind of odd and not real fun to use either.. text is overlapping on the screen sometime, and it just doesn't seem to navigate as easily as it should. Oh, and it doesnt register "Mark as read" items.. they appear "unread" until I clear them on my desktop.
I got my google talk working and like it-but, I'm noticing it doesn't leave a message (go into an answering machine mode- Blah, blah.. wait for the beep and leave a message) for the recipient who may be away and still showing active, like the desktop version.. but maybe it's just me..
The google calendar is very trying to use because its so much slower to input than the old Palm pim.. I can't barely stand it. I endure using it on my desktop, but it's not becoming my favorite due to the slow response and large distances to scroll for inputs..The clock entry stuff on google is ridiculous, but thats another issue..
Anyway, I didn't see a handy place to start listing the helpful kinds of tips for those kinds of things and wanted to start one. (If there are any!)
I've even thought maybe I should use the mobile versions of the google apps when they have a distinct portal for that, but it doesn't seem to help.
Thanks to all..
P.S. I'm trying GPE suite now, and not having good results but I'll bring more detail up in another thread.
