It's in good nick, only problem is that I managed to brick it using backupmenu and of course with a broken usb port, I cant flash it back. So if someone wants a project ...

comes with a decent external battery charger and a couple of batteries.

The casing is in good nick, screen fine,

Just looking to reclaim back some of the money I paid for it really.....

So anyone want to take a punt on it...

At the moment it comes up with the nokia logo, then goes blank, nokia logo etc etc, err if you open the keyboard it comes up with something like "loading" but never loads backup menu...

Also, F.Y.I i took it to a local chap who repairs phones and he said it had been repaired once before and one of the "rails" that the usb goes onto is damaged so he could not solder the port connection

You could tell him to skip the "rails" (he's probably talking about the solder pads on the board) and scratch out the traces itself. Given, this would require a really, really good soldering iron to pull off.

I would but he charges about £20.00 per hour and I have been promised a new phone for xmas (on the understanding I dont pay anymore on this one)....

But thank you for your help ... if I didnt shake like a 90 year old I would have a try at it but I do so it would end up totally badgered if I did it.

Quick reply...
What about wire glue instead of soldering iron? Carbon and water-soluble glue making an electroconductive mixture. Or a conductive pen.
Best wishes.
