Delete the directories /home/user/.config/scorpius and /home/user/.yappari completely and try again, although there've been a lot of registration issues lately so maybe you won't be able to register anyway.

The part I need to see is when the Whatsapp servers send the "success-sent" XML file and the following lines after that. Also, is Yappari closing (crashes) when it waits for the SMS? Does the SMS arrives and Yappari ignores it, or is it just that the SMS never arrives?
Tks 4 the feedback. I have attached complete log. From all my previous tries Yappari doesn't crash. Yappari doesn't ignore SMS but SMS NEVER arrives.

It crashed. The last line in the log isn't complete.

Tks Scorpius, I couldn't tell. I have reflashed the device and will install Yappari again. Will share what the outcome is.

UPDATE @Scorpius

After flashing and installing CSSU ( latest ) running N900 at 900. I have installed Yappari v0.0.25. I was able to register once and received SMS but kept getting connected... disconnected ...and would take me to registeration screen again.. I did try to register and received new SMS. As of this morning I have added friends and chatted with one.

I am estatic and want to thank you for this great effort. Currently unemployed but will donate as it is my small way of saying Thank U.

Hi Scorpius,

Amazing work! Many thanks to you for keep on upgrading Yappari.

I have few suggestions for 0.0.26 or later versions.

1. Whenever a new msg comes in Yappari (fresh conversation), it supercedes all other running applications & opens in full screen. So if I am watching a video & a new msg comes, it will open itself in full window and push the running media player in back ground. I feel it should work like sms, when we get a new sms..it gives a notification & stays there in the running tasks..giving the user an option when to open it.

2.While you are scrolling the history in an open chat window & a new msg comes, it will forcibly bring you back to the bottom of the chat window (newest msg) and one has to scroll up again. Can anything be done about this?

3. Thirdly, is it possible to give an option to find/search anything with a keyword in any individual conversation? The reason I am asking for this is that it might happen that someone has shared some important data/information with you on Yappari (e.g., mobile number, email id) which you might want to refer at a later date. If a 'search with keyword' option is provided, it will make things lot easier rather than scrolling thru chat history of months & struggling to find something important.

Hope the above makes sense & are doable practically.

Things that are ready and working:

- Chat persistence. You can close Yappari and open it and all your open chats are still there.
- You can see the last line logged in the chat list just like conversations, and the contact's picture in your address book.
- Muting groups and people (Whatsapp doesn't mute people but if you have an annoying gf it might be handy) for good (as long as the chat is in the list), 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week.
- Timestamps bug is fixed.

Things I want to do before the release (and I hope I can make it):

- Voice registration with option to insert the code manually.
- More registration debug to see if we can pinpoint where the crashes are occurring.
- IMEI spoofing (and I still don't know why people want this).
- Copy/Paste.
- Fix the bug of the long lines/links.
- Last seen time retrieval.

Things that I won't be doing for this release:

- New smileys and smileys shortcuts (which I need badly).
- Offline images bug (that's very hard to fix and I need way more time).
- Profile pictures.
- Other multimedia messages.

The next release will be late. At least for several days.

Hi Scorpius,

First off, thx for creating the app (have v0.0.25 installed). The last piece of missing software imo.

But, I seem to be having a problem. Registration finally worked (after trying for about 14 days) from the Netherlands. But, now, consistently, yappari keeps coming up with "Connection Timed Out", both on Wifi (tried at multiple sites) and 3G. I have seen that more people came accross this issue, your reply was that the whatapp server are not reachable. However, if I look at my logs, the initial connection works (and I can telnet to bin-short.whatsapp.net port 5222) , but somehow communication seems to be cut off? Any Ideas?

Here's the log file (wrapped in code tags for readability):

Code:
Reading roster DB...

Just ignore that. It means temporary problems with the Whatsapp servers. Yappari will retry in 10 seconds and the second time it always connects in my experience.

I guess it also happens in official clients, but since official clients never tell you if it's logged in or not, nobody ever notices it.
