It seems there is a database problem with the current version. That's why the download did not reappear in the list after restarting QDL. It works only when starting from the terminal. The problem appears to be caused by a change in the database name, which I made prior to releasing the current version. I'll fix it for the next version.

Database should be working in the new version, though any data from the previous version will be lost, due to database changes.

I can't change downloadlocation. I can click the button in settings but nothing happens.

Seems I removed the line that connects the clicked() signal to the slot. Fixed for the next update. 
In the meantime, you can change the location in the config file located atCode:
/home/user/.config/Marxian/QDL.conf

some sites i download have speed limit per connection so single connection always result in slow speed.
On another note how difficult it would be to write a gui for axel??
