I've had my N810 right about 48 hours now. I haven't slept much. I'm extremely impressed by the community support. Absolutely awesome.

OK, mundane question about chargers, but searching the forums re: acp-12u yields nothing.

I've got a older Nokia wall charger, acp-12u that outputs 5.7V at 800ma (= 4.56 Watts). It appears by adding the adaptor in the link, I can get this charger to physically fit in the N810 charge slot.

Question is, can I do it w/o damaging the device? The charger that comes with the N810 (AC4U) outputs 5.0V and 890ma ( = 4.45 Watts).

Also, from the same old nokia phone, I have a car charger, model NO3300. The same adaptor would allow this charger to physically plug into my N810. Same question- can I trust it? There are no voltage/amperage specs on the car charger.

I'll give you the quick answer... Yes you can use the other charger.

I don't know witch discussion, but the specs have been listed here before, I don't remember specifics but they covered a wide range (up to 7 volts IIRC but you had better check if you arn't even close). I'll admit I couldn't find it with a quick search.

Thanks.
FYI, I have done more that a quick search, and read every post I could find with voltage range and amperage range, charger amperage, charger voltage, etc and found things pertinent to the 770 & 800 but no 810 info.
