I think that's the first I've seen the keyboard, looks the same as meego for the most part, I wonder if that skins with the ambiance as well as the rest of the UI

Still, Harmattan looks and works better.

Sailfish just seems out of place and confusing. swipe this , swipe that etc... my head hurts!

I will all of the time! Imagine everytime you change your wallpaper you get a whole new theme created just to match that wallpaper, even in apps and keyboard, everywhere!

It's like you dont want to have full control. I perfer to build icons, light, images, keyboards like I want. I hope that is possible too. would be Great if you could connect a theme you create to a specific image and use ambient to change your created themes, other than that...Ok, Its atleast good for you

I wonder how open the UI will be.

Any human-made theme is diligently hand-crafted by its developer. Automatic change of theme to match the wallpaper can work only if the algorithm used is close to artificial intelligence - or if the changes in the appearance are subtle, like change of some colours. It reminds me of personas and themes in Firefox-and-Seamonkey: duality, neither of the two can replace the other, as they complement each other.

Well in harmattan theming wasn't officially possible. Thanks to our community we got some themes. But they are far away from themes like in Symbian.

I'm sure harmattan like hand made themes will be possible too in Sailfish. But I don't see much chrome/buttons that would be able to theme.

I've never changed the default theme in harmattan, as there were no good enough alternatives for me. But I changed my wallpaper very often and with Homescreen settings or N9 Quicktweak it was a bit like ambiance.

I for myself never change icons, as you always have to adapt for new aps. Thats why I always prefered themes with default icons on symbian. Sure it's nice to have themed icons that match the theme, but there will always be apps that are not included or too new and then it looks ugly again......

I don't wanna sound harsh, but themes are dying ouy. With Ambiance every wallpaper generates an according theme. Which I think is the best approach and very cool.

I think you are wrong. I think its the themes that gives android the edge. You can build windows, iOS, harmattan or sailfish themes or almost whatever you want. I want to be able to change as much as possible. harmattan was a small step backwards from n900. I hope jolla take a step forward. Let's see what they comes up with.
