I see a slight problem with the morph concept and nokia current device architecture...

Advanced devices like that propably cannot be realised using MS software and Nokia is committed to that platform. I assume our esteemed leader will kill of the device in early prototype phase.

Gonna have to disagree with you here. Not that I'm a Microsoft fan, I'm not in the least; however items like Photosynth has shown me that things like Morph, et al are very possible. And it has less to do with Microsoft and that platform but more to do with Nokia and their abilities.

All of that money that Symbian used to enjoy for funding, Windows Phone is now enjoying that. So anything is possible.

I'm still waiting for the cellular devices shown in Earth Final Conflict. Rather simple, given a flexible display. The left side is the detachable battery, connects with a set of telescoping tracks, and merges when closed to make a small baton shape. The right contains the roll of display, battery, and most of the other hardware. It expands as much as is needed based on the app(s) running, and shrinks to close when not in use.

A few messages was deleted from this thread during migration but I think we are alright. The countdown continues.

TMO is back which is absolutely fabulous
I noticed that I missed it while it was not possible to post...

Too bad my previous post in this thread was lost, the disagreement to gerbick's disagreement... It was a nice post really, shame to see it's gone... maybe I will repost it from memory but I doubt it'll be as great as the original one, I was inspired

I read it, but you overlooked one thing. The development money that was spent on Symbian now doesn't go to Windows Phone, but it goes to the development of applications.

That still is a lot of money to be spent on applications by a very capable group of developers.

Regardless, feel free to post it. It will invariably overlook many variables and ultimately will just be an argument about something that neither one of us are in a position to claim mastery or intimate knowledge about fully.

I can at least admit that.

Oh! Is that what happened to this place? I thought it was just the typical dead silence that TMO is known for these days.

Dead silence? TMO is alive and kicking

A huge thanks goes out to those who have fought for it especially joerg_rw who despite Nokia not pointing the DNS changes pushed and prodded Reggie and chemist to make another change allowing us all to have TMO back...
