I've got the latest OS 2008 update on my N810 and I notice that WiFi autoconnect no longer works. I'm always presented with a list of networks when I get to a new location. I did some searches but couldn't find any info.

Anyone got any ideas? The tablet is configured to search and connect every 10 minutes.

Doesn't autoconnect only work with networks you've preconfigured?

I have gone from my house to work (or to church) and the autoconnect switches from network to network (even to my cellphone in between) with on problems. If I'm in an area with wifi but I have never connected before, then I get the popup with the list of available networks....

Autoconnect does not work with my pre-configured networks. Home to work always prompts me with the list.

Same here, but I remember I've been asked if I wanted auto-connection to apply to the wifi network I was configuring, I replyed "no". Now, I can't find a way to turn this on w/ my pre-configured wifi network.

Tried deleting and readding my hot spots and still does not work. This sucks because it seems that if I don't pick a network, my n810 sucks the battery dry in this mode. When I finally pick it up, my battery is drained considerably.

My N800 / OS 2008 used to auto-connect to my pre-configured networks (I would pull it out of my pocket in a new place and it would be online already), but lately it has stopped auto-connecting and instead it presents me with the list. My preconfigured networks are at the top of the list, with green checkmarks, but why should I have to select them all of a sudden?

Is this something to do with the updates to the rtcom-beta-os2008 package? I'm not sure what else I've changed on my box.

EDIT: Often, the IT will just not connect, and it will sit silently unconnected, when it used to seem to connect very quickly after entering a new network area.
