So obviously i know the official repos are down and we have some new ones for the time being but most of the apps i need its trying to get all the depencenies and wont install nothing

For example Cleven depends on wireless-tools which i cannot find normally it would install all on its on so are these new repos hosting all the depend files we need?

Same as yammas cant install that without dependencies

Any ideas?

WARNING: Serious rant spiced with some bits of information ahead:

Instead of complaining twice a day in fresh new threads...

This would be the time to get knowledge of the apt-get magic.
Create your temporary sources.list in /etc/apt/ directory.
Add the repositories from the list of skeiron.org repositories for maemo5, aka. fremantle, that is linked to in a couple of repository related threads.
Comment the lines in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list, that refer to repository.maemo.org (but make sure you have those repositories represented in your temporary file).
But stay patient with the skeiron.org servers, they probably do their very best to digest the traffic...

Thanks for the post, again for the N900 users who don't understand terminal that great I have no clue what you are on about, and the other repo threads is the same I did what I was told add the temp repos which I did, any app I install needs dependencies and your instructions to get them are not that easy, because what you wrote doesn't make any sense to me.

Thanks for your reply though

I wonder if it's just a matter of

a) waiting a bit until all the new repos are up and running and

b) updating your 'catalog list' in App Manager to point to the new repos and disabling your old ones.

This is assuming that 'wireless tools' you're after is in the repos....

HTH...

For starters: Please give some useful input in form of error output.

What application you are using to install applications?
Each of the three methods i know of have their error logging handled different: Please, either show some error message from the X-Terminal application or save the error log from HildonApplicationManager (HAM) or FasterApplicationManager (FAM) and attach it to your post.

Did you try to get different repositories to be enabled, either for apt-get in a temporary additional file to not mess up the HAM-used file, or did you try to add repositories to HAM or FAM? Any error messages?

Did you try to search for some info on the basic usage of the debian package management?

Again
These are inconvenient times for maemo users, but even more for those, that make the hard work to smoothen our ride with the Nokia abandoned N900.
