Upgrading to Qt5 is pointless and a placebo, as none of the applications will actually use it (they are linked against Qt4.x). Try removing Qt4 after installing 5 and see what runs

N9 from an N8. I got a 16Gb cyan about two weeks ago. Totally love it. Wish a had been more patient and got a white 64Gb. Like the other guy said, if you need convincing, it may not be for you.

Browsing the web is a terrible affair on the n9. As of yet, there is no one browser that can give you a complete web browsing experience.

If web browsing is really a deciding factor for you, then I would suggest looking elsewhere.

N9 is love at first sight for nearly all of its users.

So, it's not for you, I guess

Alvin Wong from unleash the phones has done some nice articles and videos about his irrational love for this phone

Ok I got a black 64gb version in the mail on Saturday!

So far I like it. It's taken awhile to adjust the way I grip the phone compared to my N8 but I like the interface. The added resolution and screen size makes web browsing a lot better than the N8 too. And now to customize the living hell out of it!

My current mission is to track down this wallpaper at any cost.

Abstract green walpapers are my favorite!

I'm in the same boat, but sadly, despite low prices on the N9, I find myself leaning towards Android lately, because of apps mostly. It is true 90% of the apps is junk but there are quite a few jems in the remaining 10%. I wish I could use mobile web-sites to compensate for the lack of apps on the N9 but it's not always an option, and the available ones are often a PITA to use and do not offer full functionality. Speaking from owning an N900 for over 3 years, which I plan to keep still. Another factor is that you cannot get N9 with warranty in the US as it was never officially released here. Most likely will be getting a Sony Xperia Acro S, it can be had for around $400 now, not cutting edge but it will work for my needs. Full-size SIM card, microSD slot, and moisture protection count as good features on my list.
