How many of you folks have used the ipaq bt keyboard with the N770? If so what method did you use to pair it? Did it work well out of box, as far as key functions etc... Do you recommend this keyboard?

Note: I hear it works and successfully pairs, but I am hoping to get some first hand experiences here.

It works for me just fine, only you need kbdd or btkbd
search maemo for it.

Oh, and set the port to a really high setting, like 8 or 9 to avoid conflicts.

Wonderful, thanks for the advice Coolty! Have you experienced any problems with key functions such as "enter" opening and closing the virtual keyboard on 770 or anything of that nature?

Here http://fanoush.webpark.cz/maemo/

also here http://n770.herraiz.org/archives/16 is description how to make shortcut in menu to start&stop it, maybe I should include it in the package

as for the enter key popping up the virtual keyboard it is enough to deactivate xterm window by opening and closing the main menu

OK, I updated the archive with install_shortcut.sh that installs menu shortcut. You still need to have R&D mode enabled but you don't need to login as root to install the package or run the btkbd script. The btkbd script executes itself as root via sudo gainroot if it is not already running as root.
