Guys,
I desperately need your help. I've got the N810 tablet (OS2008, 5.2008.43-7) and I've never used it before. I'm trying to install apps or update the software but all my attempts are not successful(((
I downloaded all the necessary repositories but they do not work.
The only answer I receive is that there are no apps available or that there are no updates available. In the application catalogue I've found the following mistake: Could not resolve '212.058.162.230'
Please help!

PS: I'm new here and didn't find how to resolve the matter. So if there is a similar thread, just give me a link. Thanks

PSS: I saw the thread that repositories are temporarily not working but are there any other ways install the apps?

I just looked at the notes about the outage, and they point to:

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=88707

Which might help you. Otherwise I think they're on the home stretch and you could just sit tight.

I tend to believe that those mirrors are for N900

I tried some of them but the result was the same.

Navigate manually to skeiron.org/repo/ and see whatever you need should be there for repos...

Your firmwares+flashers can be found at skeiron.org/tablets-dev so keep calm and use the mirror

If you find anything missing it would be appreciated if you could post on the temporary mirrors thread with what exactly is missing...

Thanks!

Ok,
I think I've found some stuff at http://skeiron.org/repo/repository.maemo.org
but how to install the apps. There are just folders with files. What should I download and can I install the apps using applications manager? Sorry for all this dummy questions but I'm just a newbie.

Ok could you post the sources.list output or something similar on your N810?

That way someone could advice on what to tweak to add the temp mirror so that you can install apps using app manager...

I'm not familiar with the N810 so I'm not too sure of how the things work out there but posting the above would be desired surely...

I just tried to follow your instructions from the following thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=88707
and added a new repo by clicking on the "New" button in the "Application Catalogues" menu:

Catalogue Name: Community - Mirror 3
Web address: http://skeiron.org/repo/repository.maemo.org/community/
Distribution: diablo
Components: free

The mistake is the same: Could not resolve '212.058.162.230'

Did you disable your old repos first?

I deleted all of them except from Nokia System Software Updates since it couldn't be deleted. So now I've got only two repos.

You didn't have to delete the old repos; a disable would allow you to enable them when they come back up...

Could you run in X-term apt-get update and post the logs here?
