The CPU is being worn out faster yes... But that should'nt be a problem unless you want your N900 to live for +2-3 years.

installed QCPUFreq now....running on power user kernel...V50...
played a song...
minimised...
opened a document...
minimised...
opened conky
minimised
opened QCPUFreq
thought of adjusting and seeing in conky...pulled the slider and reached somewhere near 900...all struck...rebooted...
error message...unexpected reboot,hence now in stock kernel....
does it mean power user kernel is off? how to check which kernel is it now?
those who experimented,could you tell, what min-max setting is best for battery....
im still learning...sorry if questions are stupid...
