I was using the GPE suite of software for a few days, then noticed that there was a software update for the OS. I reflashed it, then restored my backup and everything is working fine except for some of the GPE applications. "gpe-contacts" is working fine, but when I try to install "gpe-calendar", it fails with the message "Unable to download gpe-calendar. Application package not found."

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

I am having the same exact problem. I was able to install it once, but after that I was never able to install it again.

Hmm...maybe I'll try Pimlico or something. Thanks.

I got the same problem with Pimlico..."Application package not found". Kinda frustrating.

I figured it out! Someone else on this forum had the same issue and and there solution was to erase all of the app repositories and try again and it worked. I left the official Nokia ones alone, but it works! Yay!

Original post by "abby_normal" on January 18th, 2008.:

"Got it working . . . I uninstalled ALL of the repositories from the app manager, then clicked on the links to install the app, and it automatically added the repositories it needed. No idea why this worked; maybe there was some conflict among duplicate repository entries?

Anyway, it's now looking good! Thanks all."
