Some considerations before you go upgrade to which ever version of twitter from N950:
  • Current N950 versions seem to have no visible improvements; only API has been updated and clearing cache is more aggressive now
  • N9 will certainly receive the app before the API breaks for stock app
  • Incepting the N950 package means when the official update arrives you have to incept that too
  • Playing around with /var/lib/dpkg/status when you know next to nothing about it is just asking for trouble

So its advisable to put off from upgrading to the N950 versions as they are being improved and the final product will most likely arrive on the N9 too hence the current versions coupled with the above factors should be a big NO-NO for most people.
