I posted a longish review (with photos) on my website of my experience with the Brando Ultra Clear Protector Plus.

On the whole I think it's a good protector. I can't get one of the corners to stick down but can't say whether it's me or the Brando. It feels like the Boxwave I have on my Treo. On the whole I like it.

I bought a Brando protector for my tablet, but it was the normal "Protector Plus" one, with the anti-reflection treatment, not the "ultra-clear" one.
In general, it's very good, and I wanted the anti-reflection surface, as I find the reflections in the screen quite distracting.
However, anyone considering buying it should take into account that due to the high screen resolution, the fine texture of this film produces a "color sparkling" effect, in which white surfaces are not completely white, but have little variations in the colors that can be annoying.

I've taken a photograph, but I'm not posting it as the result does not really reflect the issue: since each eye sees a slightly different pattern, the sparkling does not look nearly as bad as in the photo (which looks like the TFT was defective), and the screen remains easily readable. The effect is clearly in a different plane from the screen.

Me too. Slice maybe 5mm off one short edge and you're good to go. The height is spot on. The ones I have scratch pretty easily though I find but they were cheap and came in 12 packs so replacing them every so often isn't hard.

I've just applied my first screen protector, but there is some debris and a couple of bubbles (this is the ultra-clear for the 770). How do I get this thing off without damaging the screen? I can't get my fingernail under it, and I worried about going at it with anything metal. This is my first handheld, I don't want to wreck it.

Try using some tape on the screen and pull it up. (probably scotch...)

Anyone try the invisible shield? www.theinvisibleshield.com I have one on my iPod nano. Does wonders, no scratches. I am just worried about the method in which you apply it.

How difficult were they to remove/replace? Any concern regarding damage to the screen? How about residual adhesive? Any left behind?

I ask because I am considering low/no adhesive solutions.

I got the same one and Ive got a bubble in the corner too. It's completely my fault tho since I damaged the protector when I used a razorblade to try to get the thing off. Of course I later read in the instruction that your suppose to use scotch tape Luckily the bubble is unnoticable once the 770 is on.

i use the no adhesive. works great and no worries. tho it was difficult to put on with minimal bubbles. had to do it several times before i was happy with it. i also bought the psp pelican screen protector. havent tried it but herd it was easy and good to put on. screen savers are expensive and if you have to do it more than once or twice, it can add up. i bought mine at ten bucks for about 6 of em at my armed forces exchange. its more expensive out in the local community, about 15 to 20 bucks

What I do is carefully fold up one corner of the plastic before I stick it on. Only a very tiny amount. Less than a mm. Then when I need to remove the protector I can grip that corner with some fine tweezers to lift it and remove the protector. No need to try to get something between the screen and plastic then. No problem with residual glue. They seem to use very low tack adhesive. Trickiest thing is putting on the new ones without getting air bubbles or dust and hairs under the plastic. If something sticks to the underside of the protector before you put it on the screen you can't get it off.
