That's a thought.... If jolla release a n950 / n9 type device with 2013 internals.

What's the possibility of back porting harmatten or dare I say maemo on to it.

not sure if this was mentioned but Jolla are asking people how much they would be willing to pay for a Jolla phone pre-order on their facebook page.

I've already asked them who I should write the cheque for.
I'm pretty excited about the news and kudos to Jolla for successfully keeping everything (hardware related) under wraps for so long.
Still not sure I'd be happy to give up my H/W QWERTY keyboard though.
If this first device has something that makes me want it then I may be willing. If it sells enough then someone somewhere will develop a clip on keyboard. In the meantime I'll be splashing the cash on another N900 this weekend

Well, obviously they'd be taking note of peoples hw/sw expectations based on the most they'd be prepared to pay, that's kinda the point of the exercise >.>

VKB's have improved massively in recent years, I rarely miss a physical qwerty anymore, if it's a VKB that matches the best currently out there*, I'll be happy
Even better though would be a physical qwerty similar to what's used on MS's surface tablets, but ideally with better tactile feedback...

*for which there's a few contenders

I can only answer that if they are ready to disclose what networks they are going to support. Without that, paying blindly and then getting a device that won't be usable would be rather weird. If it's a theoretical question of "how much are you ready to pay for a Jolla phone that you'd like" - that's a bit different.
