Hi,
I enjoy listening to internet radio on the media player that came with OS2008 on my N800. However, I can't figure out how to prevent the stream from stopping when the N800 times out to what I think must be stand-by mode. Has anyone got this solved?
Thanks,
Bonny.

That's odd. I usually spend the whole day in the office plugged in to my N800 on the Internet Radio and it's never gone into standby on me. Likewise, I have the Internet Radio playing for hours on end through the speakers when I'm home as well.

In both cases, my N800 is connected to the AC power source.

For some reason, this behaviour has stopped. Don't know why. Hope it doesn't come back. Maybe the battery was low - only thing that makes sense.
There is sometimes a buffering halt, which I supposed would be reduced by minimizing number of programmes open and/or minimized. I wonder if it would make a difference having the player minimized while playing? Would it use less power while playing minimized? Is there such a thing as a power use monitor which could be turned on and off for a momentary peek?
Incidentally, the battery instructions say not to keep it plugged in to charger when battery is full - so I avoid this.

The battey instructions say not to keep it plugged in to charger when battery is full TO SAVE POWER, in the version I read. If you are plugging it in to charger because it's more convenient to you, and you can afford the extra 25 cents, it's ok, according to my interpretation.

Sometimes you are given a bit transfer rate selection for an internet radio station. To avoid buffering halts, would it be better to select a higher or a lower bit transfer rate?
