TechGeeks don't care about sports and from what I know Finland and possably even sweden don't know anything about sports, except racing on winter roads. Am I right?

Your memory fails, indeed, because it wasn't sabotaged by any Council nor Board members, but by a Jolla employee, that wasn't involved in the first communications, and decided to talk to other community members in different terms than his collegues previously had talked with Board.

I don't see how a new small startup company like Jolla should keep alive abondoned devices from a very big company. This legacy support would break them their neck and they would be as slow as Nokia was.
This agile small company can do it different than Nokia ever could. This is what I believe in and so far they don't have disappointed me. After all, it's development is alot more open than Nokias maemo/meego. Look at MER and NEMO, thats totally open. I can live with some parts being closed while being developed like Android. I'm also OK with key parts or 3rd party stuff staying closed. As long as this closed parts have APIs or plugins into which the community can connect.
They can be the Nokia we always wanted. They can be unlike.

Wait, what?
You should be joining #nemomobile, #mer, and #jollamobile more often
You have a lot of jollaians there, you can contribute to the middleware and core of SailfishOS and getting support from Jollaians in live chat...what else do you want?
They're definitely looking for people to contribute to the project, and they're definitely supporting people who do so.
And I'm seeing a great community growing around Jolla, a community who believes in the same ideals, and contribute to the projects to keep SailfishOS growing.
If you want to contribute, there are so many things you can contribute to.

I agree fully there is so many *****s on this forum they prefer to whine. Its just plain ridicilous when people do think Jolla should be on this broken forum 24h/day. TMO is doomed get over it. This forum is broken paece of crap. I Don't get why people is so fans of this forum its not even working good on mobile for got sake. Its 2013 not 2005.
As stated already they are on freenode IRC channels. But if we should have a community forum we should start FRESH with modern forum etc. And a good spam filter and a way to remove troll OR offtopic posts (like this) from a thread.

We can see those relationships with community in google and canonical companies, but we also know as after all it's not about "good" or "bad", but about companies profit after all
