Is it possible to make a video call from an N810 to another N810 user? If so how? Is Gizmo Project the only option?

Gizmo, GoogleTalk, Jabber and SIP should all be able to handle video calls between two N8x0's running OS2008.

GoogleTalk is probably your best bet though, if the other options don't sound familiar. You would just get 2 accounts set up with Google and then add them to the tablets via "Accounts" in the control panel. Then you place "Internet Calls".

Thanks for the info-- I was just wondering if there was a native solution that I was missing, not just 3rd party apps.

I used gootgletalk, which is built in between an 800 and a 810, and it worked great to make video calls.

You still need two googletalk accounts though..

It's an integrated application. If you go into the Control Panel and choose "Accounts" you can set up the information for your GTalk account. Then it will connect and you'll see the colored status circle in the dock at the top of the screen.

Once you have the account setup/connected, you can make calls by just choosing "New Internet Call" from the main application menus or by going into your contact list and choosing one.

This goes for any of the build in protocols in OS2008 (GTalk, Jabber, SIP). The beta version of the communications suite adds a bunch more (ICQ, MSN, AOL, etc) but they are all text chat only.

I tried to make videocall between N800 and N810 and video works fine but there is no sound. I tried even to do only voice call from n8x0 to the PC and again sound doesn't work. All other messengers like Gizmo and Skype works find. Is anyone expire the same trouble ?
