I think your idea is a good one though.

It would be nice to have an app that was somehwat of a generic pdf 'printer' in that it would convert many formats to pdf, which are easy to email to whomever, etc.

I wish I had more time...but someone will probably come up with something

PS I wonder what Jobs thinks of PDF

I have a python program that adds a shortcut for selected file to desktop. but I too have no time to do that.

e: so one would only need to rewrite the function that adds the sortcut and replace it with conversion.

What about Easy Debian?... view the image in that and then print to a PDF printer.

Seen our Nokia N9 does not have any scanner of documents, it would be awesome to have this on an App or the shortcut some of you were talking about, unfortunately, I'm not a developer, otherwise, I'd help out with this =(

A port of this to the N9 would be what you're looking for.
